Michael "Foam It" Fischer, of Dakota Applicators, is a 10 year spray foam insulation industry who has overcome a lot of adversity to get where he is at today. I spoke with Michael about the struggles he and his brother, DJ, overcame in their early days, why he left his family farming business to focus solely on spray foam, and what growing into a larger market has been like.
"We had zero point zero technical support, basically. Which I think is one of the biggest issues in our entire industry. No oversight. No barriers to entry. I mean, literally, if you got $35,000 and two arms, they'll sell you a [spray foam] rig."
